Pass & Go – the annual community business-sponsored reward event for students enrolled in Advanced Placement classes – will be held Aug. 2 for those students who pass their exams with a 3, 4 or 5.
Over the past two weeks, car sponsor Wyatt Johnson, technology sponsor Premier Medical Group, and pizza sponsor Antonio Murgas of Domino’s Pizza, have been giving encouragement to AP students to do well on their exams, coming up in early to mid-May. Students got to look over the cars, win movie tickets from Premier and enjoy the delicious pizza from Domino’s.
Since the incentive program – now in its sixth year – began, students taking the AP exam have increased from around 1,000 to 1,469 this year. Students from Northeast, Montgomery Central, Northwest, West Creek, and Clarksville High Schools have won cars. Wyatt Johnson offers the winning student a choice of a Mazda 2, Toyota Yaris or a Hyundai Accent.
